Rickert Nature Preserve Philosophy

This property is primarily a nature preserve and secondarily a place for humans to visit and enjoy the outdoors.  We have the following basic expectations of visitors:

• Take more trash out than you bring in.  Rather than litter, help me remove the remaining human evidence from the forest and fields.
• Respect the privacy of the owner.  Please do not enter the property without one of the owners present or without having prior permission.
• Hunting animals, collecting plants and disturbing the environment are off limits.  We are in the process of restoring the area to native prairie and protect nearly all species.
