This vine can reach a height of 30 feet and will grow into zone 4. The leaves emerge as bronze-red, changing to green then to an eye-catching red in the fall. The plant forms a tenacious, fan-shaped net of stems that cement themselves to structures and leave a residue if removed'.

Virginia Creeper, Parthenocissus quinquefolia (PRTQU) is a vine climbing by means of holdfasts. Flowers are inconspiuous, fruits are blue, and fall foliage is a striking red color. Has been suspected of causing skin irritation in a few people.
